Compassionately Stoneground Books was begun by Randy Ahart in 1995 when, after years of making his own books, he started to secretly shelve them in bookstores and libraries.

Several friends got together with Randy and published an anthology of poetry called Kiely Dunker Feenaughty Ahart and Collins. Now, Compassionately Stoneground Books has 8 full time members and they have produced 13 more titles:
